The zokutou anthology it will accept poetry, short stories, creative non-fiction, and both artwork and photography. Basically, no limits, except for length: nothing 'too long' will be considered, you should aim to have stories under 5000 words, and though longer work may be considered, it might be rejected solely on its length.

The deadline for submitting your work is 23:59 on the date given, and the process of editing results in a date of release of at thge end of the following month. Hopefully, the previous anthologies serve to show the quality that we have seen produced, and the extent to which we have been able to produce a 'professional' looking publication in which to have your work published.

Anyone within Zokutou can submit, and if you know anyone else who wants to submit, we can just sign them up on the website and then they can submit too. All work will be edited and published subject to quality, and any work considered 'below quality' (by the group as a whole) will be worked though with the author to 'improve it'. We are here, afterall, as a collaborative collective. There will also be considerations for space, and some work submitted may not make it in because we have received too much to fit into the anthology.

There is also a dedicated mailing list for the anthology, that is run by Tricia. Contact her if you want to be involved in the process of production.

So - submit your work, and get included in the latest Zokutou anthology!

style guide

The Zokutou Anthologies are written in English, using the British spelling. Paragraphs should be deliniated by a single carriage return, section breaks by two or more carriage returns (using a consistent number through the piece). We allow bold, underlined and italisied text within the piece, and if you have additional formatting requests, we will attempt to accomodate them within the general style of the anthology. Alternate fonts can be used if they don't detract from the anthology as a whole, but we have a strict policy of only using freeware fonts that are embedding enabled.

Images should be submitted at the highest resolution available, and some cropping may be required to fit the image into the particular style of any particular anthology.

Creditation will be given in full on the back page of the Anthology, and referenced through the use of the authors initials at the end of their piece. We prefer not to use pseudonyms.
