Enjoy the sunshine, take in that Vitamin D

Vitamin D is vitally important as we get older, in particular it helps keeps skin nice, soft and supple. It’s one of the main agents to fight off those nasty wrinkles and blemishes. What better way to grab yourself some Vitamin D than to get out and about and enjoy the sunshine in the warmer months? Go for a walk with the dog, take a stroll with your partner, nip down the shops to grab a newspaper. Anything that gets you out and about. Of course one of the easiest ways to enjoy the sun is in your own back garden. If you put up a gazebo or shade, if things get to toasty out there, you know there is somewhere you can cool off. The best thing to do is buy yourself a nice pop-up gazebo, you can get them pretty cheap these days, and they go up literally in minutes. Perfect for family get togethers as well!

How does age effect our memory?

Not unless that’s where you usually keep them.
Losing your memory as you get older is more of a thing for men in their 70’s and 80’s.

So much time. So little to do.

When do you finally become wise?

You are now officially wise!

It’s an entitlement. It comes with the bus pass, just as the ability to sew on buttons emerges naturally in young mothers with the after-birth.
You do cynicism with style

Now, like Miss Marple, you never believe what people say.

The older face is, fortunately, beautifully built for the disbelieving look, which effortlessly sucks the truth out of anyone trying a quick con. This is why M15 now takes on so many older women. They are better than any truth machine.

Love your body more

Your body: flaunt it, love it or hide it

You can go one of three routes here.
1. Change your body

You can go for plastic surgery, but what you are really doing here is signal to men that you want their baby.

Most of the body changes that an older woman want are those that make her look like a fertile, young woman – slim waist, pert breasts, high hip to waist ratio, flat stomach, glossy hair, full lips, wide eyes and smooth neck.

The age old problem of ageism

Your cloak of invisibility arrives with your winter fuel allowance

Yes – you are now officially invisible.
A survey by Dove of 50-64 year old women found that 60% of women over 50 do not exist, and 81% of Saga readers think that TV is ageist because older people – mostly women – seem to have vanished.
Nearly three-quarters of programmes feature younger people.
